Thank you to all those who entered last month's story competition.
Unfortunately some very good stories have more than 500 words so are disqualified. Stories already submitted may be resubmitted in future months with some editing to qualify them.
Keep writing your stories about yourself and Emily, Amy, Jasmine, Belle and Matilda. Remember to keep them short and interesting. Funny is always good too.
Congratulations to Charlotte aged 11 from NSW,

This is her story...
THE MAGICAL CANDY STORE
It was a pleasant winter day and Jasmine was sitting on the grass wondering if she could bother to stand up to explore. Suddenly she saw boiled sweets appearing from nowhere and making a trail. She followed the lolly path and found herself in front of a very old-fashioned candy store. “Ouch,” cried Jasmine as she fell onto the hard gravel. “Where am I?” She stood up and looked around, there were trees with lollipops and bushes growing bright candy canes. Hopefully if she entered the shop there would be someone there to tell her where she was.
She opened the door and a friendly jingling of bells welcomed her. There was no one at the solid oak desk but the shelves were piled high with every type of scrumptious lolly known to man. She pinged the bell on the desk for service. A little white rabbit came out from the back of the store and greeted her with a soft, “Hello, welcome to my store. Feel free to look around!” Jasmine asked very politely (for she knew that rabbits were quite timid creatures), “Where am I dear little rabbit?”
“You are in Candy Land m’dear. I’m the tour guide so I’ll show you around.”
“Where is Candy Land? Where am I?” cried Jasmine.
“ No geography lessons here in Candy Land Miss!” replied the humble rabbit.
“I’m the tour guide of Candy Land so I’ll give you a tour,” the rabbit said excitedly.
Jasmine followed the rabbit around Candy Land listening to his muttering. The rabbit was called Hector.
Jasmine looked up from thee path to see that they were approaching a huge swirly lollipop, with a timid look and an anxious message about him.
“Don’t come any further, you are in grave danger if you do so!”
“So what is the problem Pop, is the Sweet Army rebelling against the King of Candy Land again?” asked Hector.
“I’m afraid so,” replied Pop.
“Oh no that sounds terrible! I’m going to help the people of Candy Land!” exclaimed Jasmine.
So she marched up to where the army was standing and shouted at them saying, “ Why are you so feared by everyone? You are nothing but lollies I could eat you all in 10 minutes!”
Jasmine could feel the anger of the Sweet Army rising. They started to charge towards her their glazed sugary bodies shining in the warm sunlight. Jasmine opened her eyes and found herself on the plush grass. Jasmine sighed with relief; it had been nothing but a dream.
